They had been looking for larger premises for years they finally bought an 850m2 warehouse in Watford.

The brief was to consolidate their showroom, offices and factory into this space.

On ground floor is the main entrance and showroom. This space is enclosed in double-height glass walls through which you have a full view of the factory floor. A mezzanine floor provides office space.

The building was in a very bad state of disrepair when our clients bought it and the only elements we retained are the four external brick walls. Thermal performance was a key consideration given that Building Regulations now require warehouses to have a minimum rating on an Energy Performance Certificate of E.

We’ve designed a new insulated roof that maximises internal volume, optimises rainwater drainage has a large integrate photovoltaic solar array.
